Root canal treatment
Root canal treatment removes the infection inside the tooth so that the tooth can be kept. It is carried out under the microscope and under local anaesthetic.
How it works
When the pulp (the “nerve”) of the tooth is infected or inflamed, root canal treatment involves removing it, cleaning and disinfecting the canals, then filling them with a sealing material. The tooth is kept rather than extracted.
At Cabinet Dentylia, every treatment is carried out under a dental operating microscope, for precision and a long-lasting result.
Common reasons
- Deep decay reaching the nerve
- Infection or abscess of the tooth
- Pain with heat, cold or chewing
- Trauma or necrosis of the pulp
